Perkins Ridge Road closing Wednesday
AUBURN Auburn Public Services will close Perkins Ridge Road on Wednesday, Sept. 13, to replace abridge culvert. According to a city news release, a detour will take motorists down Hatfield Road, to Marston Hill Road, and back up to North Auburn Road.

Earlier today, Star Trek: Discoveryrevealed its own theme songa rare, full length one in the age of the title card stings and little else. It joins a long line of esteemed theme songs in the Trek franchise, but we thought wed throw a question to you all: whats your favorite TV theme of all time? Honestly, its a question that leaves me paralyzed with indecision. Theres so many great onesif were counting anime, Im partial to the likes of Lupin IIIs theme, or Gundam Wing, but for TV at large theres everything from Star Trek: Voyagers brazen brass section or the timeless, cosmic weirdness of Doctor Whos ever-fluctuating tiles.

Tesla has pushed an over-the-air update to some of its vehicles in Florida that lets those cars go just a liiiittle bit further, thus helping their owners get that much further away from the devastation of Hurricane Irma. Wondering how thats even possible? Up until a few months ago, Tesla sold a 60kWh version of its Model S and Model X vehicles but the battery in those cars was actually rated at 75kWh. The thinking: Tesla could offer a more affordable 60kWh version to those who didnt need the full range of the 75kWh battery but to keep things simple, theyd just use the same 75kWh battery and lock it on the software side.
